Beyrouk

Mbarek Ould Beyrouk (Beyrouk) is a French -speaking Mauritanian journalist and author of three novels and a collection of short stories. He received the Ahmadou-Kourouma prize for his novel Le Tambour des Larmes  (The Drum of Tears) in 2016, as well as the Prix du roman métis des lycéens.  Pariahs is the first complete work of his to be translated and published in the United States, soon to be followed up with the publication of his new novel, THE SILENCE OF THE HORIZONS (Translation by Marjolijn de Jager), in 2025.
