Corine Sombrun
Corine Sombrun is the author of several books, including Journal of A Shaman’s Apprentice(2002) In the Footsteps of Geronimo (2008), and Spirits of the Steppe: With the Last Shamans of Mongolia (2012). Born in Burkino Faso, Africa, in 1961, she studied music and musicology in Montreal, and while on assignment for the BBC World Service in 2001 in Mongolia was identified as a shaman herself by a Mongol shaman. A world traveler and lecturer, she has appeared on Ted Talks and furthers her studies on the corollary between shamanistic practice and neurological science.
